Looking down on the vast King Penguin (Aptenodytes patagonicus) colony at Salisbury Plain on South Georgia. Estimated breeding population of 250,000 to 300,000 pairs and increasing. The brown stripes within the colony are groups of juveniles known as Oakum boys.
